Director Seminar
Current details of the Board Leaders, Inc. annual ½ day seminar, 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at Babson Executive Conference Center, Wellesley, MA. Cost per person, including breakfast and lunch, is $1000. Executive lodging is available at the Conference Center, and airport transport is convenient.
2010 Seminar Panel Topics
The seminar will be comprised of four topic sessions:
Session 1: RiskMetrics gives a 2010 proxy review, with a discussion of their new corporate governance rating methodology, Governance Risk Indicators (GRI).
Session 2: A legislative and national political update with a Boston-based political advisor and talk show host.
Session 3: Our panel of experts will respond to audience submitted questions in the following general subject areas:
* Managing and responding to activist shareholders
* Board composition, recruiting, and evaluation
* Executive and director compensation: planning and pitfalls
* Risk Management: design, reporting, and review
As we approach the seminar, we will develop from our members and guests a final list of questions, which will be forwarded beforehand to the seminar attendees.
Session 4: Case presentation and general discussion of the YouTube video crisis at Domino’s Pizza.
